But I adopted Jae Superior for a reason. Folks kept calling me “J” like it was too much work to say Junius. So I took the “J” and gave it authority—Superior, because that’s exactly how I move through life.

I was born in Brazil, Afro-Brazilian at the core, but I’ve called the U.S. home since I was eight. My journey took me through Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Miami, and now California. But the path that shaped me most started on the field.

I was a standout college football player, headed to the pros. My grind, my mindset, my discipline—it all came from the game. I didn’t just play—I dominated. Until a career-ending leg injury changed everything.

That break wasn’t just physical. It forced me to rewire my identity and redirect my fire. What I lost in the game, I gained in purpose.
